Manali, the beloved Himalayan retreat, has transformed into a mesmerizing winter wonderland after heavy snowfall. The charming hill station, adorned with a thick blanket of snow, has been drawing tourists eager to experience its magical allure. Thousands of visitors flocked to popular spots like Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel, only to find themselves stranded as the snow piled up faster than expected. Over 1,200 vehicles carrying more than 5,000 tourists were stuck in Solang Nala on the Manali-Leh highway. The biting cold and snow-filled roads turned the adventure into a nerve-wracking ordeal. Thankfully, local authorities and rescue teams sprang into action, ensuring everyone was safely evacuated back to the warmth of Manali town.

But the beauty of the snow comes with risks. In one incident, a small truck skidded on the icy roads near Solang Valley and slipped down a slope. Miraculously, the driver managed to jump out just in time, escaping unharmed—a stark reminder of the unpredictability of snow-covered terrain.

For those currently in Manali, the days are bright and sunny, but temperatures remain bone-chilling, dropping as low as -11°C (13°F). Authorities have advised against unnecessary travel, urging visitors to stay informed about weather updates and tread cautiously.
