Devendra Fadnavis to Take Oath as Maharashtra CM Today, PM Modi to Attend

After weeks of suspense, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is set to take the oath as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister at 5 PM today in Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. This marks Fadnavis’s third time in the top post, a role he first held in 2014.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other top leaders will attend the grand ceremony. Two Deputy Chief Ministers, including NCP’s Ajit Pawar, will also be sworn in, signaling a powerful start for the new government.

The event ends a two-week-long deadlock after the Mahayuti alliance’s resounding win in the November 20 Assembly elections. For Fadnavis, it’s a homecoming — one with fresh challenges and a renewed mandate.
